Agenda Revised for Financial Services Committee Markup

Washington, November 29, 2011 -

The Financial Services Committee released a revised agenda for its markup of legislation on Wednesday, November 30.

The Committee will meet at 10 a.m. in room 2128 Rayburn to consider three bills:

  • H.R. 2682, the Business Risk Mitigation and Price Stabilization Act of 2011
  • H.R. 2779, to exempt inter-affiliate swaps from certain regulatory requirements put in place by the Dodd-Frank Act
  • H.R. 2586, the Swap Execution Facility Clarification Act
H.R. 3213, the Small Company Job Growth and Regulatory Relief Act of 2011, which was scheduled to be considered during Wednesday’s markup, will not be on the agenda because several Committee members will be absent.

“A number of members who want to vote on H.R. 3213 have informed the Committee that they will be unable to attend the markup.  Rather than deny these members the opportunity to have their vote and voice heard on this important bill, the Committee will instead postpone consideration of H.R. 3213,” said Financial Services Committee Chairman Spencer Bachus.
