Financial Services Committee Schedule for Week of May 5


Washington, May 5, 2014 - House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) today announced the committee’s hearing schedule for the week of May 5.

Wednesday, May 7 at 10:00 am: The Financial Services Committee will hold a markup on legislation to enhance capital formation for small and emerging growth companies and provide regulatory relief for community financial institutions. In addition, the committee will consider issuing subpoenas to the Department of Justice and the Department of Treasury for certain documents relating to prosecutorial decision-making in cases involving large financial institutions.

Thursday, May 8 at 10:00 am: The Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing to receive the annual testimony of the Secretary of the Treasury on the state of the international financial system.

All proceedings will take place in Room 2128 of the Rayburn House Office Building and will be live streamed on the committee’s website financialservices.house.gov.
