Hensarling Delivers Speech Tuesday on Dodd-Frank Act Anniversary

Washington, Jul 17 -

WASHINGTON – Tuesday, July 21 marks five years since President Obama signed the Dodd-Frank Act into law.  Weighing in at 2,300 pages and mandating 400 new regulations that – so far – have generated 22,296 pages of rules in the Federal Register, Dodd-Frank is the most dramatic and sweeping rewrite of our financial laws since the New Deal.

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) will deliver a speech, ““Dodd-Frank Five Years Later: An America Less Free, Less Prosperous and Less Stable,” to mark the anniversary at the American Enterprise Institute on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.  Preceding the Chairman’s remarks, a panel of financial regulation experts will analyze Dodd-Frank and its impacts.
