McHenry on Paycheck Protection Program Funding Deal: Finally

The top Republican on the House Financial Services Committee, Patrick McHenry (NC-10), issued the following statement after the Senate passed legislation to replenish Paycheck Protection Program funding:

"I think I echo the sentiment of our financial institutions and small businesses when I say—finally. I am glad to see a deal has been agreed to that replenishes Paycheck Protection Program funding. We must get this legislative package to President Trump’s desk immediately so struggling small businesses and their workers get aid now.

“While this infusion is vital, we must also recognize the unprecedented demand for this important program. PPP funds will run out again—likely in the near future—and we must stand ready to address additional needs.”
