Committee Republicans Outline the Real Inflation Equation at Hearing on Skyrocketing Consumer Prices

Today, the House Financial Services Committee held the House of Representatives’ first hearing solely on inflation. While Democrats continued to push misleading claims about the main drivers of inflation, Committee Republicans set the record straight. If Democrats want to solve the “inflation equation”—as their hearing title suggests—they need to look no further than their own reckless policies.

 Republican Leader McHenry started off by debunking Democrats’ myths that the current surge in consumer prices is driven by corporate greed and supply chain bottlenecks. As Republican Leader McHenry argued, the real inflation equation is Democrats’ bad policies plus bad economics, equal bad outcomes for the American people.
