McHenry Releases Report Marking 10 Years of the JOBS Act
Republican Report Outlines the Law’s Impacts and How Congress Can Build on Its Success
Washington, Apr 5 -
Today, the top Republican on the House Financial Services Committee, Patrick McHenry (NC-10), released a Staff Report entitled, “Ten Years of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act of 2012: How the Law Spurred Capital Formation, and How Congress Can Build on Its Success.” Read the full report here or by clicking the image above. The Republican Staff report discusses how the bipartisan JOBS Act came together in a divided government, as well as how the law helped spur capital formation and job creation by reducing regulatory barriers and creating new avenues within our securities laws for small businesses to raise capital. The report also looks ahead to how Congress can build on the JOBS Act’s success to strengthen U.S. public markets and expand opportunities for underrepresented entrepreneurs and investors. Today at 2:30 pm ET, Republican Leader McHenry will host a roundtable to mark the tenth anniversary of the JOBS Act. The audio from the roundtable will be livestreamed on YouTube here.
