Bachus Welcomes Leonard Lance to Financial Services Committee
WASHINGTON,
January 7, 2009 -
Ranking Member Bachus announced today that Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-7) will join Republicans on the Financial Services Committee for the 111th Congress. "The economic crisis currently facing our nation calls for smart, bipartisan leadership," said House Financial Services Committee Ranking Member Spencer Bachus. "Congressman Leonard Lance was chosen for this important Committee because he has a reputation of putting partisanship aside in order to find solutions to tough problems. Leonard brings a tremendous amount of leadership and experience to our Committee that is not typical of a freshman lawmaker and will represent his constituents well." Congressman Lance has served in the New Jersey State Senate and the New Jersey General Assembly. During this public service career, Lance has held key roles on budget and finance issues. He is serving his first term in Congress. ###
