Chairman Hensarling Announces Hearing Schedule

Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) on Wednesday announced the committee’s upcoming hearing schedule.
The committee’s schedule is tentative and will depend upon witness availability and other factors that may require changes. Therefore, each meeting will become final only when the hearing notice is distributed. Hearing notices can be found online at republicans-financialservices.house.gov.
Witnesses for each hearing will be announced at later dates. These hearings will take place in Room 2128 of the Rayburn House Office Building.
May 7 at 10 a.m. – The Financial Services Committee will markup pending bipartisan legislation related to Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Act and the JOBS Act. The Subcommittee on Capital Markets & Government Sponsored Enterprises held a hearing on these bipartisan proposals last month.
May 8 at 2 p.m. – The Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade will hold a hearing on the reauthorization of the Defense Production Act.
May 15 at 10 a.m. – The Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing on Too Big to Fail.
May 16 at 10 a.m. – The Financial Services Committee will hold an oversight hearing with Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Mary Jo White.
May 16 at 2 p.m. – The Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance will hold a hearing on multi-family housing finance, medical facility mortgage insurance programs and reverse mortgages.
UPDATE: A hearing of the Oversight Subcommittee has been added for May 15 and the previously scheduled hearing that day has been canceled.
