MEDIA ADVISORY: Updated Hearing Schedule

The House Financial Services Committee today announced its updated hearing schedule for the weeks of October 21st and October 28th.
October 23 at 2:00 P.M. – The Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises Subcommittee will hold a hearing on legislation to further reduce impediments to capital formation.
October 29 at 10:00 A.M. – The Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing on the recent taxpayer-funded bailout of the Federal Housing Administration.
October 29 at 3:00 P.M. – The Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee will hold a hearing to discuss legislative proposals to bring more accountability, reform and transparency to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
The committee’s schedule is tentative and will depend upon witness availability and other factors that may require changes. Therefore, each meeting will become final only when the hearing notice is distributed. Hearing notices and a list of witnesses for each hearing can be found online at republicans-financialservices.house.gov.
All hearings will take place in Room 2128 of the Rayburn House Office Building.
