Washington,
June 6, 2014 -
House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) today announced the committee’s hearing schedule for the week of June 9:
Tuesday, June 10 at 10:00 A.M.- The full committee will mark up legislation to bring much needed accountability and transparency to the CFPB. It will also consider bills designed to improve capital formation for job-creating small businesses and a bill to reauthorize the Defense Production Act.
Wednesday, June 11 at 11:30 A.M.- The Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee will hold a hearing to review issues related to production costs of U.S. circulating coins and currency. The subcommittee will also discuss the usefulness of coins and currency in everyday business and the ways that coins and currency are distributed and recirculated through the economy.
The Committee’s schedule is tentative and will depend upon witness availability and other factors that may require changes. Therefore, each meeting will become final only when the hearing notice is distributed. Hearing notices and a list of witnesses for each hearing can be found online at republicans-financialservices.house.gov.
All hearings will take place in Room 2128 of the Rayburn House Office Building and will be live streamed on the committee’s website: /.
