MEDIA ADVISORY: Committee Schedule for the Week of June 15


Washington, June 12, 2015 - Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) today announced the committee’s hearing schedule for the week of June 15.

Tuesday, June 16 at 10:00 A.M. - The Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee will examine cyber threats from a global perspective, exploring threats posed to the U.S. from foreign nations, terrorist organizations, criminal enterprises and other entities such as “hacktivists.”

Tuesday, June 16 at 2:00 P.M. - The Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises Subcommittee will review legislative proposals aimed at modernizing the regulation of business development companies and expanding the available pool of accredited investors.

Wednesday, June 17 at 10:00 A.M. - The full committee will receive testimony from Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew on the annual report of the Financial Stability Oversight Council.

Wednesday, June 17 at 2:00 P.M. - The Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee will hold a hearing entitled: “The Impact of the International Monetary Fund: Economic Stability or Moral Hazard?”
