Hearing Schedule for the Week of July 13
Committee to Conduct Federal Reserve Oversight with Two Hearings

Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) today announced the committee’s hearing schedule for the week of July 13th.
Tuesday, July 14th at 10:00 A.M. – The Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee will hold a hearing on the Federal Reserve’s lack of transparency and accountability. The Subcommittee will examine the Federal Reserve’s growing power since the passage of the Dodd-Frank Act as well as its lack of operational transparency and the absence of accountability to Congress.
Concerns about Fed accountability have been thrown into stark relief by its failure to comply with the Committee’s subpoena for records relating to a 2012 leak of confidential Federal Open Market Committee information.

Wednesday, July 15th at 10:00 A.M.- The full Committee will receive the Federal Reserve’s semi-annual Monetary Policy Report to Congress and discuss the state of the economy. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen will testify.
