Committee Releases Hearing Schedule for Week of November 16

November 13, 2015 -
House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) today announced the committee’s hearing schedule for the week of November 16.
November 17 at 10 a.m. – The Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee will hold a hearing to examine the impact of the Dodd-Frank Act’s requirement for public companies to report whether they source “conflict minerals” from the Democratic Republic of Congo and its nine neighboring countries.
November 18 at 10 a.m. – The Financial Services Committee will hold an oversight hearing with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chair Mary Jo White to examine the SEC’s agenda and operations.
November 19 at 9:15 a.m. – The Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee will hold a hearing on the lack of due process and transparency in the Financial Stability Oversight Council’s (FSOC) designation of non-bank financial companies as Systemically Important Financial Institutions and the FSOC’s relationship to the Financial Stability Board.
