Media Advisory: Committee Hearing Schedule for the Week of May 23

WASHINGTON – Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) today announced the committee’s schedule for the week of May 23:
Tuesday, May 24 at 10:00 A.M. – The Task Force to Investigate Terrorism Financing will hold a hearing – entitled “Stopping Terror Finance: A Coordinated Government Effort” – to examine federal efforts to combat the financing of terrorism and explore how the Treasury Department works with relevant agency and law enforcement officials to coordinate the government’s efforts to combat all forms of illicit finance.
The following witnesses are scheduled to testify:
- Jennifer Shasky Calvery, Director, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, U.S. Department of the Treasury
- Larry McDonald, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Technical Assistance, U.S. Department of the Treasury
The hearing will take place in Room 2128 of the Rayburn House Office Building. Additional information and live video of the proceedings will be available on the Committee’s website.
