Media Advisory: Committee Schedule for Week of January 8

Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) today announced the committee’s schedule for the week of January 8:
Tuesday, January 9 at 10:00 a.m. – The Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee will hold a hearing entitled “Evaluating CFIUS: Challenges Posed by a Changing Global Economy.”
Tuesday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m. – The Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee will hold a hearing entitled “Legislative Proposals for a More Efficient Federal Financial Regulatory Regime: Part II.” The hearing will examine the following legislative proposals:
- H.R. 1264, the Community Financial Institution Exemption Act
- H.R. 2683, the Protecting Veterans Credit Act of 2017
- H.R. 4648, the Home Mortgage Reporting Relief Act of 2017
- H.R. 4725, the Community Bank Reporting Relief Act
- H.R. ____, a bill to amend the Truth in Lending Act to clarify the exclusion for seller-financers from the definition of mortgage originator, and for other purposes.
Wednesday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. – The Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee will hold a hearing entitled “A Further Examination of Federal Reserve Reform Proposals.”
All hearings will take place in Room 2128 of the Rayburn House Office Building and will be broadcast live on republicans-financialservices.house.gov/.
