Washington, September 10, 2019 -

WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives advanced five bipartisan Financial Services bills: H.R. 2852, the Homebuyer Assistance Act of 2019; H.R. 281, the Ensuring Diverse Leadership Act of 2019; H.R. 1690, the CO ALERTS Act of 2019; H.R. 241, the Bank Service Company Examination Coordination Act; and H.R. 3620, the Strategy and Investment in Rural Housing Preservation Act of 2019.

Republican leader of the Subcommittee on National Security, International Development, and Monetary Policy, Steve Stivers (OH-15), delivered remarks in support of the Homebuyer Assistance Act. This legislation mirrors Senator Tim Scott’s (R-SC) efforts to champion this lifesaving initiative in the Senate.
