McHenry: Stivers Has Been a Tireless Advocate for Ohioans, Skilled Legislator
Washington,
April 19, 2021 -
Today, the Republican leader of the House Financial Services Committee, Patrick McHenry (NC-10), issued the following statement after the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Housing, Community Development, and Insurance, Steve Stivers (OH-15), announced his retirement from Congress next month:
“I remember meeting Steve when he was serving as an Ohio State Senator. From the start, he has been a tireless advocate for Ohioans and a skilled legislator. Having worked with—and against him—on policy, you always want someone with his resolve on your side. Most importantly, Steve is always a friend, regardless of policy or politics. I am confident he has the talent, energy, and know-how for this next career. Giulia and I wish Steve and his family all the best.”
