McHenry Announces Republican Committee Leadership Transition

Washington, May 18, 2021 -

Today the top Republican on the House Financial Services Committee, Patrick McHenry (NC-10), announced the following changes to the Committee’s Republican leadership team:
  • Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Housing, Community Development, and Insurance — Rep. French Hill (AR-02)
  • Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on National Security, International Development and Monetary Policy — Rep. Andy Barr (KY-06)
  • Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations — Rep. Tom Emmer (MN-06)
  • Ranking Member of the Task Force on Financial Technology — Rep. Warren Davidson (OH-08)
“Committee Republicans are fighting for financial innovation, a strong economic rebound, and a comprehensive strategy to counter the Chinese Communist Party’s aggression,” said Republican Leader McHenry. “This group will continue to lead these efforts. Throughout their time on the Committee— and most recently during the COVID pandemic— these Members have provided commonsense solutions to help job creators, workers, and families prosper. I am confident their leadership in these new roles will strengthen Republicans’ pro-growth agenda to rebuild the best economy of our lifetime.”

New subcommittee Ranking Member assignments will be official once finalized by the Committee in the coming weeks.
