Financial Services Committee Advances 8 Bills

Yesterday, the House Committee on Financial Services, led by Chairman French Hill (AR-02), held a full committee markup. The Committee successfully reported 8 bills to support small businesses, provide more oversight to HUD, protect the privacy of homebuyers, and establish a regulatory framework for digital assets in the United States, to the full U.S. House of Representatives for consideration.

"This markup covers a wide range of bipartisan priorities: leveling the playing field for smaller financial institutions, improving housing, modernizing crowdfunding exemptions, and continuing our work to bring clarity to the digital asset ecosystem. …Each bill considered is aimed at reducing barriers, empowering communities, strengthening accountability, and ultimately will pay dividends for the American people,” said Chairman Hill.
