Chairman Hill Applauds President Trump for Signing CRA to Reverse Biden-era Bank Merger Rule

House Committee on Financial Services Chairman French Hill (AR-02) issued the following statement after President Trump signed S.J. Res. 13 into law yesterday.

“I applaud President Trump signing S.J. Res. 13 into law and reversing a Biden-era OCC rule that imposed burdensome standards on bank mergers. Small banks depend on mergers to grow, innovate, and better serve their communities. This resolution restores competition, consumer choice, and a more balanced regulatory approach.”
