Chairman Hill and Bipartisan Delegation Meet with Argentinian President Milei

On Monday, July 28, 2025, House Committee on Financial Services Chairman French Hill (R-AR) led a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. House of Representatives to meet with Argentinian President Javier Milei, Minister of Economy Luis Caputo, head of the Argentinian Central Bank Santiago Bausili, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Gerardo Werthein.

 

The delegation discussed Argentina’s evolving financial landscape, the importance of strengthening the bilateral relationship between the United States and Argentina, and opportunities and risks related to digital assets.

 

Following the meeting, Chairman Hill said, “It was an honor to meet with President Milei and reaffirm the strong partnership between our two countries. We share a commitment to free markets, strong investment, and encouraging FinTech innovation to flourish safely and effectively in our countries. As Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, I remain focused on unlocking opportunities for both of our countries.”
