House Committee on Financial Services Chairman French Hill (AR-02) and Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions Chairman Warren Davidson (OH-08) announced that the Committee will hold a field hearing titled "Securing the Supply Chain: The Defense Production Act in Focus." The hearing will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.
“I look forward to the Committee’s upcoming field hearing where our Members will take a hard look at the Defense Production Act (DPA) and receive critical insight into what’s working and where potential reforms are needed ahead of its expiration in September,” said Chairman Hill. “Committee Republicans are committed to examining how the DPA can be better implemented for defense procurement and how we can strengthen domestic manufacturing in the face of growing global challenges.”
“The Defense Production Act provides a cornerstone authority for national security,” said Rep. Davidson. “We confront every crisis with the supply chain we have, not with the supply chain we wish we had. As we approach DPA’s reauthorization, Congress needs to broaden and modernize its focus to develop the resilience we currently lack in many crucial areas. I look forward to robust discussions at Wright-Patterson AFB to ensure the DPA remains a vital tool for the United States.”
