House Committee on Financial Services Chairman French Hill (AR-02) issued the following statement on the House amendment to the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which passed the Senate. “I share in President Trump’s commitment to delivering a housing bill that puts American families first, expands access to home ownership, and enhances affordability. Over the last couple of months, we’ve heard clear concerns from hundreds of members and stakeholders, and this bipartisan amendment reflects that feedback. It cuts unnecessary barriers to new home construction, modernizes HUD programs, and allows banks to more freely deploy funding into their communities. We must get this right – and I am committed to working hard to do that.” |
