September 15, 2026
House Committee on Financial Services Chairman French Hill (AR-02) and House Committee on Agriculture Chairman Glenn “GT” Thompson (PA-15) issued the following statement after the U.S. Senate failed to invoke cloture on the CLARITY Act: "The House has worked across multiple Congresses to establish a functional digital asset market structure framework for the digital asset ecosystem. Until statutory certainty is achieved, we look forward to partnering with the federal financial regulators as they utilize existing authorities to develop rules and issue guidance governing digital assets. "We remain committed to continuing to work with our Senate colleagues to send critical framework legislation to the President’s desk that secures the United States’ leadership in financial innovation." ### |
